The Course

Located about an hour south of Adelaide, Ashbourne Private Links is situated on a farm owned by the Johnston family. Designed by Harry Meyer, the grandfather and great-grandfather of the property’s current custodians, the quirky nine-hole layout has been played continuously in its original form since 1928.

The Course

Rated among the top 50 courses nationwide, Port Fairy Golf Links winds its way over a natural dune system adjacent to Port Fairy Bay. While appearing to be age-old, the links opened in 1963 as a member-designed, nine-hole layout. In 1985, the course was extended to eighteen holes to a design by 1958 Australian Amateur Champion Kevin Hartley. Since 2000, a later winner of the Australian Amateur Championship, Mike Clayton (1978), has been advising the club on course design and conditioning.
